They say the third time's the charm and in the case of Aransas Pass, that was the case. The third time for the organization of the area came in 1909 when the firm of Burton and Danforth began to promote and sell lots here. Though not entirely successful, the town did remain this time. It did not grow much for about 30 years when oil was discovered. The little fishing village then began to grow and became prosperous.
